MOBYLETTE Pride of place in the Mobylette range is held by the remarkable Mobymatic, a unique achievement in the moped field. This luxury moped with an entirely new pressed-steel frame and springing of both wheels has a 49 c.c. two-stroke engine with a fully automatic threespecd gear and clutch. In addition, there are Standard and de Luxe versions of the Mobylette, powered by a similar engine but with a fixed gear and without rear springing. The Mobylette de Luxe, however, features an automatic clutch, as fitted to the Mobymatic, which self engages when the machine reaches a speed of 4 m.p.h. and automatically disengages below that speed.
