Simonsen & Nielsen A/S - bicycle factory Hamlet in Copenhagen started import of Velo Solex 1950. Their own production started 1954. The first years the sale was low, after a law change 1953 concerning registration the sale went up. 1953 the sale was 24 vehicles - 1954 2000! 1957 Simonsen & Nielsen A/S moved their production from Kastrup to Dansk Cykleværk Grand A/S, Nørre Åby on Vestfyn. Grand was than recently bought of Smith & Co. A/S. 1959 there was sold more than 10.000 Velosolex. The top-sale- year was 1967, 22.000 vehicles, after this the "market" for moped went down, like everywhere else in Europe.
